Christine Michel Carter: Storytelling, Single Motherhood, and Mental Health

Episode #12

Today I’m joined by Christine Michel Carter, the #1 global voice for working moms. Christine is a bestselling author, consumer marketing expert, the senior contributor to ForbesWomen, and a mommy to two kids. She created the first national mommy and me professional development networking event called Mompreneur and Me, she’s worked with the Congressional Caucus on Black Women & Girls, the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on maternal and child care related issues. Today we talk about the specific changes Christine wants to see made in the workplace to better accommodate parents. We talk about her personal motherhood and journey through divorce. Christine shares with me her experience with anxiety and managing her mental health and so much more!

“There are too many women in the workplace that are trying to perform like the white male non-children having CEO leaders and that does nothing but make you mask and cover yourself. It leads to stress on your mental health.” – Christine Michel Carter
